Apple MacBook battery not charging X icon, green light mag, defective rip off

I have two Mac laptops right now, over the years I’ve had three others two of the most recent ones had problems with their batteries. My first generation MacBook Pro was a lemon, within the first year the battery stopped working. As the laptop sat unplugged its battery became exhausted and after that It could not charge it. I took it to the “Genius Bar” and they replaced the battery with a new battery that only had 3 month warranty. That particular MBP also had defective fans that died after a year, along with the DVD drive. Probaly the worst computer I’ve ever had…
My wife’s MacBook battery just did the same exact thing and its only 13m old. Of course it happened right after its warranty expired. I took it to the apple store and they basically told me it was out of warranty and asked me to buy a new one for $105.
Even though there’s a an TechDoc stating that its a knonw issue and they will extend the warranty for 2 years…. but my laptop does not fit the date range for that recall.
So if you buy a Mac, know that you’ll have to pay a yearly $100 “battery fee”…. I have 3 year old PC laptops that still hold a charge.
My next laptop a Dell/Lenovo I’ll install OSX myself…
